Congratulations to Martin Cates, 2025 Maine State REALTOR® of the Year
Martin has served as a Director of the Maine Association of REALTORS® and served in many volunteer positions for not only the state association but also the statewide multiple listing service, Maine Listings. For the past 10 years, Martin has devoted his expertise and energy to Maine Listings, serving as a director and then stepping up into the executive leadership team. In 2022 he served as the Maine Listings President and continued his service on every committee and task force during his leadership tenure.
Martin continues to volunteer his time to the Maine Listings Technology Committee and Policies and Procedures Committee, dedicated to ensuring our statewide MLS remains at the forefront of our industry, not only in Maine, but nationally.
Martin currently serves as the Director of Mid Coast Regional Housing Trust and serves on the Knox County Board of Assessment Review. Martin makes his REALTOR® community and his Penobscot Bay region better!
The State REALTOR® of the Year recipient is chosen from among the 11 nominees of the local REALTOR® associations and more than 6,400 REALTORS® in Maine. The award recognizes a REALTOR® for their contributions to the real estate profession on state, local and national levels.
